Worrying that there’s a tweet from Michael Piper (I think he works with the academy?) talking about working hard all year to be ignored and not paid.

I’ve taken all of the twitter rumours with a pinch of salt but from an employee of the club it needs sorting out ASAP.

Michael Piper is head coach of Huddersfield RU, who have just been placed into admin.

Well, that's my Premier Club season ticket and car park pass bought. There are now only 4 seats left in that section
So I figured it was last Chance Saloon.

In the rest of the stand, there are 4 sections and it looks like over half the central sections are sold - from the back (sp remaining seats are at lower level) and less so -- maybe 1/3rd - of the outside end sections. At this stage of this year - i think its a bloody good effort TBH

I did a rough and ready head count (not as accurate as Raging Bull, if similarly anally retentive :) ) and reckon another 50 now sold making 516. This must show that there is a majority of optimists amongst us!

I did pay on a credit card as, well, would be silly not to. Also car park pass £35 compared with £60 at Odsal. Happy days!

My dad and I bought ours last Saturday too. We bought an extra one as well so that my brother and nephew can come whenever they are free. When they can’t make it my mum will probably use it so a worthwhile investment. We also bought on credit card.

So, if over 500 have been sold for the seated stand 1 month after going on sale and when we have moved grounds and are in special measures that would be an amazing effort.

No wonder the club has struggled for money in the past when fans are quite happy to blatantly ignore the non-transferability of season tickets........

Sorry to have upset you.

The spare ticket is an adult ticket. My brother is the main reason it has been bought. He is an adult and will probably make half the matches.

My nephew is 6. He will only make a couple of matches as he plays footy on a Sunday. My mum will not make many matches.

There will be several games where the season ticket will not be used.

My bro/nephew/mum would not come at all if they weren’t able to sit with us so the club wouldn’t make any money in that scenario.

The seats around our seats have already sold looking at the seating plan on the website.

In the stand at Odsal there were always tons of spare seats so when they wanted to come to individual matches they just bought a ticket and paid the stand transfer.

But yeah, we are obviously the reason the club has struggled for money in the past.

How are the club being cheated? They've got the money for a season ticket - a ticket which the purchaser has said will not be used for all games.
So rather than a potential sale on match day, the club have a definite sale already in the bag.

Besides, I doubt there's many season ticket holders at any club in any sport who've not, at least once, let someone else use their ticket because they were unable to attend a specific game

Anyway, I didn’t intend for my post to derail the thread. It was merely to illustrate that we had already bought our season tickets and bought an extra one (which we have never done before in previous seasons).

So in that sense the club is doing better than in previous years as they have taken more money from my family and also 4 months earlier than they ordinarily would have (we wouldn’t normally buy until Jan).

I hope many other people stick with them and commit to the 2020 season.
