Where do you think he should play for England?

Personally i think he should play 13, its his best position and has never been given the chance to play his 'natural' game for GB or England. Last year showed he is not good enough to play 6 internationally. In my opinion England should go for a ball playing 13 instead of a direct one like O'loughlian or Burgess (he would still be in the team though)

I have gone for squad player. He can fill in at 3 different positions.

He isn't as good a 9 as Roby.
He isn't a good enough 6 to play at international level.
He isn't as good at 13 as Lockers.

Wouldn't complain if he was on the bench either really, but I think we need impact off the bench.

O'loughlian and Sinfield are two completly different 13s so its hard to compare and it depends on what you want in that position. I would go with Sinfield because going with a direct 13 has been proven not to work against Australia. If we let Sinfield play his natural game at 13 it gives us an extra attacking dimension. With Brough at 7 we have two top kickers and the added bonus of 1 being left footed the other right footed.

Sinfield could come of the bench with O'loughlian starting however I would rather have someone like burrow on the bench instead, he does also offer cover in the halves and at hooker but I would definitely not start Sinny at 6 thats for sure!

Glad to see im not on my own about starting himat 13 even though im not in the majority. I can see the argument for having him as a squad player but the 7 people who say he shouldnt be in the squad in the first place are mad.

Why are people saying O'Loughlin is a direct loose forward? Have these people even seen him play? He'll take the ball into contact when necessary which is what all good loose forwards should do, but he's one of the best ball players you could have at 13. He gives you a little bit of everything that you need at loose forward which is why so many England/GB coaches have picked him there.

You lose the direct running and a little bit of defensive strength moving Sinfield to loose, whereas with O'Loughlin you've still got a ball player but also someone who can play in a different style if necessary.

I went for squad player, but I can see why people said not in the squad.

Stand off is just a no go area.
At 13 SoL is a better player, and off the bench I don't see why we would need someone who covers 9/13/6 just have a specialist 9 on the bench, then we can always move Ellis or burgess to 13 if we needed to, and there is no need for a replacement half of the bench, most super league teams don't have one.

This is international level, every player coming on needs to be a specialist in the position they are playing. Not just a jack of all trades.

Sinfield is so much better than Flanders it's laughable!

I will depend on form. McNamara and Powell seem to like him so I wouldn't be surprise me if he was still in the 17 come 2013.

Personally I think he's behind Burgess at 13 and I think McGuire and Widdop are ahead of him at stand off. I doubt he'll play hooker from the bench as I think he's behind Burrow and Henderson.
