Hi,

I am dropping you a line regarding Channel M's dedicated rugby league programme Code XIII. Unfortunately, as you have probably realised Channel M will not be producing a dedicated rugby league programme this season. This was not a decision taken lightly and one that we realise will have come as a disappointment to many. We are optimistic that the series will return in 2010.

Rugby League (Superleague, National League and BARLA) will continue to feature heavily on channel M across News, Breakfast and Sports Central each week. Shaun McRae will be appearing weekly to keep viewers and fans of Salford City Reds bang up-to-date with the going on at the Willows.

They've stopped the ice hockey programme as well this season.

I got the same email. I'm guessing you're one of the other cc's in there.

Just got back from the game. Entertaining but error strewn match played in terrible conditions - I won't spoil the score but it's on the Salford board if anyone want to know. Don't know what the crowd was but there was a good few hundred there and by and large they were very enthusiastic. Hopefully the event will grow from there.
