I agree that C5 would a very good place, they always get in people who know what they're on about.

Isn't C5 struggling though? Rumours have it that they should merge with C4 so money might be an issue unless we let them have it for free.

It's C4 that are struggling in particular, look as if Film four will be going which has alot of input in the British Film Industry.

Really? Dumped on ITV on a Saturday teatime when most sports fans are either watching something else or out at a game themselves and given absolutely no promotion is being treated like the pinnacle of sport?

So basically, it got about half the airtime that the Varsity rugby league match gets on Sky then? Or about a quarter of the airtime devoted to rugby league by the BBC this weekend.

Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Unfortunately the Thames below Teddington lock is tidal - which is what determines the time of the Boat Race. Back on topic - when I looked at the poll at lunchtime the number of votes to remove RU from the list was nearly the same as RL - could it be that RU supporters are as dissatisfied with Auntie as we are?

Why settle for mediocrity?

I can't argue the BBC are good because they're not, but I will try and argue a case for accepting their poo efforts as long as RL remains free to air and gains exposure to the masses. Yes they give us a flat cappers image and yes the RFL need to address this by stipulating standards in the coverage even if it costs us in the pocket.

In australia the AFL insisted that a condition of their Channel 7 contract rights was that they also had to show the same games live into Sydney and Brisbane where AFL was non-existant.

For years, Channel 7 probably had terrible ratings in Brisbane/Sydney, but they now sell out their games.

RL still gets 10 times the crowds and ratings in Sydney than aussie rules does, but its growing fast. Kids now have the option to play AFL in Sydney and Brisbane.

Exposure is the key to growth, we should never EVER allow RL to fall off terrestrial TV, even if it hits us in the pocket by accepting a lesser deal than SKY offer.

No, its more likely to be a revival of RL and RU fans voting against each others sport and ignoring anything else.
At theend ofthe day its only the press looking to fill its webspace with something again, it has no real bearing on what the BBC will actually do
