Back on track I thought Widnes looked poor.

I wouldn't judge the Championship on that game alone. It wasn't a classic to be honest and Haven came with a game plan that involved slowing the game down with lying on an messing around at the ruck. Fair play to them, it nearly worked.

Widnes were also missing several key players and had 6 of our youngsters out instead.

Ronnie Laughton doesn't help either. He's an atrocious referee.

Harsh on Haven that. I am fed up of fans shouting "Get off him" when they have only just tackled the player. Players do not have springs all over their bodies which allows them to spring back up on their feet immediately. Rule of thumb is count to 3 and you will find that most shouts of lying on are incorrect.

Haven looked as though they wanted it more and played for the full 80 whilst we got out of jail. The 3 week lay off did us no favours and the injuries. Hopefully we will be a different proposition next week.

Worst Widnes performance at home for a long while that, but a win is a win. Should beat Fev at home too.

Apparently we had players playing with swine flu as well as Duffy out with a bad back and Toa out with a bad knee, Gaskell I think and Morrison were out with flu too. Not bad really considering and our own homegrown talent stood up very well.

You WILL beat us at home. Clear favourites for it too.
