Anybody else think that 'Haven should never have had that try disallowed? Really didn't think that Varkulis was obstructed.

Disgrace all round, especially a poor defensive read from a poor player was rewarded!

Widnes should never have won

They were never at the races.

Whilst 'haven were being penalised Widnes got away with murder and fluke tries.

Ah well the consolation is that Widnes are just not good enough to win the grand final and had to rely on loan players to win the Northern Rail Cup.

Their true colours are now beginning to come apparent.

Wouldn't say that. Thought it was fairly even game but admit they had some luck regarding the disallowed try and then that knock on from kick off that lead to their final try was a shocker.

BTW you will not be popular when Vikingman gets home

I think it was a fair enough call when we look at the other stuff that has been disallowed recently. The attacker without the ball was in front of the ball carrier. If he stays behind, there is no issue, but it was a very tight one.

I think this is one area of the rulebook which needs looking at for next year.

I did think we were lucky tho after a lack luster performance and Haven didn't really deserve that after the effort they put in, but sometimes it goes for you, sometimes it doesn't. We can play a whole lot better than that and we'll need to to get any further.

Did you not watch the replay back, no Widnes player touched the ball so therefore wasnt a knock on.
