Yup, an inevitable outcome. The sport has made great strides with inclusivity and cannot accept this kind of mentality anymore.

Hopefully McGuire has the sense to just take it and move on. I do fear there is going to be more to come from this. His Father has allegedly made a few very serious allegations about Warrington as a club already. I think he'll be trying to clear his name once he gets back to Australia and will do so by giving Warrington and Super League in general a good spray to anyone who will listen. I'd imagine the media in Australia will be all over this, particularly if he tries to stay in the sport in some capacity.

Time do away away with the idea of “its just banter” often thecwords used after someone has just said something they now will cause offence, and use “banter ” as a caveat for bad behaviour.

My point still stands. From what I have read and I could be wrong, it boiled down to charnleys word against mcguires.

I remember when charnley was giving it large about Makinson, only for Makinson to go on and be declared the best player in the world, win 4 SL titles on the trot and be crowned world club champion whilst charnley couldn’t find a club so ended up at Leigh.
