Those figures don't seem to be overly excesive. Probably Cooke, Briscoe, Vella, Webster and Newton are our top earners I would say. A 20 man squad would avergae 80k each with some obviously on a bit more and some a bit less.

I'd be surprised if SL top players are not on close to 200k pounds a year.

is'nt matt king meant to be the top earner in SL? reportedly on $600,000 a year (£300k)

Perhaps you can't read but this rumour was scotched in a HDM interview a few weeks ago. We find it highly amusing that a lot of Hull fans pretend they know the salaries of any Rovers player, in fact any player within Rugby League.

The green eyes will obviously be out because, for instance, Michael Dobson signed for HKR whilst Kath and family returned empty handed from her jaunt in Oz.

Its funny to read, but listening to the numpties for real is a scream , some actually believe the drivel.

I thought it was Renoufs wife who was the highest paid receptionist in Britain or something.
Matt King's reported to be on a biig wage at Wire but I'd hazard a guess its nothing compared to what some would have you believe. Probably abotu 180k. I bet Morley, Gleeson, Briers and Monaghan arent far off that either.

Renouf was the one who I was thinking of. That sort of practice has been ended now anyway - it's one of the clauses in the salary cap.
