Aaron Groom looks a handful and could make a decent back-up SL player for me.

Decent game this, the Championship games I've seen on SKY this season have been far more entertaining than the Super League fare that's been on offer.

Thats cods... That Sheffield game was like watching slow motion rugby compared to the Saints match, not that the Saints game was particularly special. The Widnes game the other week against Halifax was equally uninteresting, i've give this championship a few shots now and the standards like watching Warrington Wizards
Its people with your attitude that reckon the NRL's boring, shortly before Australia put 50 on england.

Thinking the NRL is boring and England losing by 50 points is irrelevant. Two NRL teams may play 'better' rugby, but I find myself more involved in a game like this with players and teams who I am familiar with and can relate to.

So tell me, how do Sheffield in a league with a limit of 1 overseas player (Is that right?) and a very low cap manage to field a side with Groom, Ropati and Yere? Surely those three are worth a Super League spot at least?

Were my ears deceiving me from the kitchen, did one of them play in a world cup semi final?

Groom played against Aus in the Semi-Final.

But its sllooooow.
I only used the NRL thing because the types that normally claim the championship as entertaining start sentences with 'In myyy daaaaaay' and last saw top flight action when Featherstone had a decent team. 'The teams are too fit nowadays' and 'theres no breaks' are the usual excuses offered along with 'all one man rugby'...go and watch basketball or somethin then.

For?

How did he end up at Sheffield and not in Super League? Where did they get him from?

Correct on both counts. He's to small (build wise) for the NRL though and wouldnt last too long. He will be very good at that level though.
