I dont think so, I thought they wanted to compete in the French knock out cup and that was one of the reasons why they werent in it.

Good point, they want to be in the LD cup next year, hope they are tbf, would be good for French rugby.

Hum, not sure they want to be in Lord Derby cup next year. To be in a French cup would not make much sense for them. Toulouse place is in the opposition with CC clubs. I don't see why Toulouse likely thrashing of LER clubs would be good for the French rugby.

In any case the French clubs were opposed to the presence of Toulouse (that's why they did not play in the French cup). French clubs naturally think that it would not be a level playing field with Toulouse in it. I don't see any reason why they would change their mind with Toulouse likely to get stronger next year.

Heard that Toulouse were considering participating to the NRC but their budget could be short.

However, new info, Skybet is now proposing odds on the NRC next year and Toulouse is 6th favourite with odds of 11.

Does this indicate that Skybet has some info about Toulouse participation next year? Does anybody has more info about this issue?

Budget is a major issue for them, they would love to have a team in the LER and in the Championship, but they are strapped for cash. They are teaming up with a bottom LER club to get fringe TO players some game time. NRC? I just don't see C1 clubs going to france or TO playing 10 away games...

On a more pertinent topic, are Toulouse exempt from relegation to Championship 1 (as Catalans were in SL) or not ?

They are far from safe as the table curremtly stands.

They are indeed exempt, but even if they were not, would you see them losing at home against Doncaster ?
They will finish 7th or 8th.
