Whether or not it was a try, they were only down that end of the field because a shocking decision against Widnes. Haven blatantly caused an obstruction only for Widnes to somehow get penalised for it.

We played poorly after 3 weeks off and missing key players but still won. That's all that matters at the end of the day and no amount of anti-Widnes bias is going to change that.

Whilst 'haven were being penalised Widnes got away with murder and fluke tries.

Ah well the consolation is that Widnes are just not good enough to win the grand final and had to rely on loan players to win the Northern Rail Cup.

Their true colours are now beginning to come apparent.

Has been a very competitive league though, you only need to look at the points on the table from top to bottom (excluding Donny of course)

I watched the Widnes game then put Boots n All on from the anytime TV. The speed the games are played between the SL and championship is worlds apart(not knocking the championship, more making an observation)

Its no wonder Celtic and Salford have struggled.

Back on track I thought Widnes looked poor.

The slower pace gives a little more space for players to show a bit of skill rather than the crash-bang-wallop of Super League though, don't you agree?

I would agree. Not that I think the skill level is higher in the Championship, but by slowing the game down a touch it means a bit more effort is required to break defences.

SL has slowed down the ptb this year, and I have been happy with the change. Saints, not surprisingly are not happy with the change.

I'm not saying that the skill level is higher as such, but there is more scope to use it as there isn't as big an emphasis on the forwards beating down a path and simply who has the biggest team.
