Many, many, many years ago, a few "idiots" from a club near Wigan came to LAWKHOLME LANE and decided that they wanted to be "hard"!!!

As they started they were soon stopped as several elderly "gentlemen" surrounded them and politely told them to shut up and behave!!

Their faces were a picture!!

Not sure they enjoyed the game but the day wasn't spoiled by them.

That's the only "trouble" I have ever seen at an RL game.

A few years since I read this but it's ok. As with most of these sorts of books I suspect some of the stories have been spun a little, but I have no doubt that, certainly in the 80s, some aggro was available if you were looking for it.

I can only recall trouble at Keighley twice in the 20 years or so I've been going.

It involved Fev and Hull KR. Who both are notorious for this.

I will say I've not seen anything in the last 15 years though

In the 80s the infamous Hull FC & Hull KR good friday derby at the boulevard...shocking scenes bricks thrown all over the place young & old injured..Thankfully now just a few isolated incidents involving the chavs.
