Should be made to submit a real business plan and if its ok and thought they could survive then they should be put in CC1.

Crusaders should have worked although Moss and co put pay to that. After a good season last year they then shift games to Friday which equals a drop in gates. The mess moss and co got Wrexham fc in has led to those potenial fans boycotting Cru games.

And we all know the reason behind yesterday decision. They want to sell the ground to build flats on. They are messing around with Wrexham supporters trust leading to which that Wrexham & Crusaders will be wound up in the next few weeks.

There is nowhere else in the area that could host super league in the future. Champtionship games yes at a push.

Do not disagree with you and the divisions between Wrexham FC and Crusaders fans is perhaps the biggest regret although a united front would probably have made very little difference, the fact now fans are as close as ever is a blessing if the Trust can get control of Wrexham FC then there may be hope of Crusaders emerging in a different form but lets face it Wrexham's owners are unlikely to put up much of a fight if the Conference chuck them out on 4th Aug and then they will have their wish of killing professional sport in North Wales and can build all the flats and houses they want.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

I'd suggest they [ RFL ] get hold of Iestin Harris , speak to Robbie Paul , put in 150 K , try to find a small council owned non league footy ground looking for something in summer , and look at running a Champ 1 club between them

I really hope that the club can continue, whether that's in CC or CC1. It's been mooted that the Supporters Club want to establish a community run club.
Hope that's the case as it's a big blow for RL in Wales right before they are due to be in the 4Nations and co-host the 2013 RLWC and with the hard development & community work done in N Wales I hope a RL club can remain there.

Fact is the club where too quickly fast tracked to SL and where drove into the ground by poor finances and awful owners...

Where did you hear this mate, first i have heared... the Supporters Club twitter has been taken down as well

Belle Vue home of Rhyl FC could be a decent shout or Farrar Road in Bangor could be another option. Rhyl has to be a prefered option due to being nearer to Wrexham and the border so away fans would not be discouraged from travelling as well as far better facilities.

That is a long way off though and seeing out the season has to be priority and hopefully the Racecourse will still be a long term option if Wrexham FC change hands.

I'm not one to jump on the 'anti-RFL' bandwagon, but they've cocked the whole Crusaders thing up in big style.

The move to SL was at least 2-3 years too early. They were building well in South Wales, crowds were small but growing and they had achieved moderate success on the field. There was some ground wandering but options were available - there's hardly a shortage of rugby grounds in the area. Further, South Wales is a sea of oval ball talent - thousands upon thousands of lads who've played with rugby balls since they could walk. The club was laying down foundations and a presence in Wales and beginning to become a strong entity.

I can almost picture Wood and Lewis giddy with excitement when Crusaders applied for SL. "YES! SL in Wales! My position is vindicated!" I was baffled then, and remain baffled, as to how they didn't see it was too early.

Regardless of shady motives behind selling the land in Wrexham, etc, the RFL got a lot to answer for and I think it's a crying shame. A strong club in Wales would be fantastic, and with Welsh blood coming through could have eventually been a real contender.

Fingers crossed South Wales Scorpions will see this as an opportunity for growth and take over where Crusaders left off in 2008.

1. They were building well on the back of some on-field success, but we now all know how that was achieved! Hopefully, the Scorpions have picked up the benefits though.

2. Like you say, I'm sure the RFL were 'giddy with excitement' at the prospect of a Super League team in Wales. And I'm sure the owner's (alleged) threat to pull out if they didn't get a licence helped focus their minds. What's that expression about lying down with dogs?!

Incidentally, options 1 and 4 of the poll are basically the same thing.

Rhyl is not a bad ground but the pitch seems small for RL and is no where near super league standard. Farrar road is about to be knocked down and bangor are moving into a 2,000 cap ground. Again no good for Super League. of course you have to think of the future. Cefn druids are in a new ground but its a little out of the way and of course no where near super league standard.

Never mind the ground IN Rhyl not being up to scratch, Rhyl itself is not upto scratch ;) i doubt many fans of championship/championship one teams relish the prospect of having to travel via a Stargate to reach their away games against the third incarnation of Crusaders ;)
