Now we are back on even pegging judge us in 3 years.
Your problem is that 3 years is all you have. The RFL were not convinced by your future plans for your Acadamy and actually highlighted your lack of evidence for which to back your claims in their summing-up when granting your Franchise licence:
--------------------------------------
HULL KINGSTON ROVERS
This is the club’s second year in Super League and it is showing strong potential. The club has invested significantly in improving its facilities, much of which is behind the scenes. Further significant developments are planned. This commendable investment has required, and will continue to require, strong financial management. The club’s commercial plan is well thought through and logical and its community work is achieving results. The assessment of the club’s player performance strategy would have been enhanced by the submission of further evidence, particularly with Academy Reserves but there is a growing infrastructure since promotion to Super League.
-----------------------------------------
You will find them less tolerant if things haven't improved when they're doling out the Franchises again - no sign of any improvement in that area yet, and you're already 7 months down the line...
(...and prolonged pinching of our lot is not sustainable growth in the eyes of the RFL.)

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Since when do the RFL actually tell the truth
They were similarily scathing of Leigh's youth development
And yet 40 % of this years 1 st team squad are products of the clubs youth system
HKR are concentrating on the definates , SL finishing position , financial , stadia , attendances and less on the more ambiguous stuff like youth
They will still be in SL in 2012 whether they have more academy products or not

Well, you carry on as you are.... I'm happy to wait and see.
(Sensible that you're concentrating on your finances and your stadium, though....)
Exactly Point being HKR ditched thier academies and concentrated on what mattered most , they are now well established in SL , Leigh are in the Champoinship and will remain there for the next few decades
It is not our stadium and as a result will not help us financially very much [ if at all ]
So who are the sensible club ?
And which of us will be producing thier own SL players first ?

So you state:
- Hull KR have "ditched" are not investing in their Acadamy;
- That because you do not own your stadium and as it will therefore not contribute financially (?) you are not prepared to develop your most important Franchise points bagger (???);
- That Hull KR will be producing SL players before Hull who have already being doing so (several of which play for you) for years...
Man, your post is a contradicting paradox. Please explain.
And throw some light as to the origin and relevance of the "most sensible club" question while you're at it, do.
In Hull KR's case, their academy has been poor in attracting decent juniors and perhaps also developing them to a standard deemed good enough, which is why they haven't got many in their squad. They have only had 2 seasons under their belt. They sacrificed their academy dedication to concentrate on getting SL and then getting a franchise which they have achieved. They are now concentrating on bringing up the rest of their franchise up to scratch. It takes more than 2 years to attract decent youngsters through their scholarship scheme and develop them through their academies into SL players, and anyone asking them to promote players into the first team before they are ready obviously hasn't a clue about player development. Such policies in our sport that force this sort of action would probably weaken player development, not strengthen.
If, in 2011, Hull KR are still in the position they are in regards home-grown talent (as well as the state of the stadium) then I will agree then. But all signs for them are pointing up at the moment as a club progressing.
And your a Hull fan?
Great post, said everything i would of liked to.
Smokey i see what youve been saying, but this isnt an overnight fix. Weve had a shocking youth development, most of our fans will admit this. Some will make excuses about Hull cherry picking players etc but the fact remains we still should of had some sort of development and shouldnt be so far behind.
Things are getting sorted out now. We are seeing the likes of Welham & Spaven given first grade chances. As for Esders he left the club in not so straight forward circumstances, never was he deemed "not good enough".

You really ought to read what he actually posted instead of what you think he posted
