At the end of the day, Gleeson is a class player. I'm gutted that he's ended up at Wigan.

Like Fielden, dispointed he didnt have a go in the NRL.

I cant believe that players turn down the chance to play and live in Austraila and play in the best competition and against the best players.

Definately. One of a very select number of players who can hold his head up high after the World Cup too.

I think it was more that the NRL and Australia turned the player down.

Well considering Gleeson made no secret of the fact he wanted to go to Australia, what do you think made him change his mind and give up on his dream move to sign for wigan on, according to your fellow fans, a small wage?

No... He was born here, supported the club growing up and he lives here as does his family.

But he never mentioned this before, yet made no secret that he wanted to go to aus next season. I guess he had a massive change of heart eh!!

There was no indication that Wigan was trying to sign a centre, let alone Martin Gleeson so how was he to know that Wigan was ever going to attempt to sign him? It took everybody by suprise, especially Martin himself.
