Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

Where have I said that?

I think he is a fine player who has already had a fantastic career. I think he's an integral part of our pack and an important factor in uor success.

However, I too think he could have been much more and hope he still will be. He is relatively young for a prop and has far fewer miles on his clock than graham.

I would not mind Baileys wind up stuff if he backed it up with good metres made and a decent work rate on both sides of the ball. Plus a willingness to take on and mix it with some of the big boys. I know Leeds have won a lot with him in the squad, but they could have been even more dominant during that time with a prop that put up better stats. I dont think Bailey has been integral to Leeds success where the likes of Peacock, McG Burrow and Senior have. Bailey is just another squad player. I think Leeds could replace Bailey and not miss anything and probably get better.

To reconcile respect with practicality, what is the optimum speed for a hearse?

Fair point, but you probably won't get anyone in Blue and Amber specs agreeing

Anyone suggesting that Bailey 'got what he deserved' should be ashamed of themselves.

Rugby League is a sport, when all's said and done. If someone wants to behave like a fine fellow you should still not justify it by knocking seven bells out of someone.

Yes yes yes, i appreciate that people get wound up, but that is still no reason to act like a thug - retaliation or not.

Did you even read the first post? Maybe then you'd understand the title of the thread better

Of course I read the first post, I quoted it in my reply

You specifically stated, "...in fact if we're being brutally honest, perhaps if Radford was black and Bailey white a lot of those sticking up for Radford might have very different opinions..." which explicitly implies that many of the people are using race to base their opinions

My reply, which I stand by, is that this is a slight on the supporters of Rugby League which has a reputation as one of the most inclusive sports in the country and has broken down many racial barriers (i.e. fist black national captain, first black national coach)

Please tell me where I misinterpreted your statement

You don't remeber Bailey putting Morley on his ar#se at Headinelgy the other year? perhaps your a new fan?
What about Fausavalu? is he a half back aswell?

IIRC Bailey's only sinbinning in a game was after a real toe to toe brawl with Julien O'Neil @ Widnes (the forward not the half back), he's about 7 foot BTW.

Yes, I remember Bailey putting Faasavalu on his back. I also remember Bailey going missing for the rest of the game, bricking himself when Graham came back onto the field looking for him.

I still can't make my mind up whether this is the most sickening thing I've seen from a RL player to be fair, the other contender is Cassidy's elbow to Morley's face.

No I was not. I've never, ever laughed at someone having their face broken, and I've never condoned Newton's actions that day.

Find me some proof and I'm happy to stand corrected, but until you can, I suggest you retract that comment.
