Not just ' plans '

So come on then, for the last time PROOF, stop making yourself look like an idiot. How can we deny something that only happened in YOUR head? Just because you keep saying it - with no PROOF it doesn't mean it happened, does it? Show us some actual evidence, which doesn't exist for that matter, then we would maybe believe you, but alas, no such evidence exists and you just look like a plank making crap up to try make it come off as rules changed for Cas, you sad strange little man.

You clearly have some beef with Cas for whatever reason it is, I don't know but it's clearly on show here and it's making you look like an imbecile.

As for Salford's plans, how long did it take them to get to where they are? Exactly, and who's funded the stadium? Exactly.

Cas have taken half the time it did Salford and doing it all of their own backs, not getting the council, Peel holdings etc etc to pump money into the project.

Are you kidding? The away end is a great view at the Willows, the main stand stretches the full length of the pitch (unlike Cas) and the terracing in the Shed goes much further back than anywhere at Cas.

He was shot in both arms , and both legs. He later died because of his injuries. Tommy 25th March 2007.

Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?"

The Willows is a far better ground than what Wheldon Road is! Any one of our 3 stands puts any of yours to shame.

Having just checked, it has less seats and a lower capacity, so how does it have more terracing & seats etc?

The open ends at each ground, the one at Cas is better and the Princess street stand is a LOT better than the Shed

I'll give you the main stand because it runs the full length of the sideline (although it has less seats...) and the large stand behind the sticks is better than the Wheldon road end.

Cas have more seats than Salford? Not a chance. Mind you, the trouble is at both clubs that they're all empty most weeks.

Wasn't Cas allowed to stay in Super League on the fact that they built a new stadium?

So if this is the case as they have yet to start then they are one of the fav's to go down.

Now for years its been all talk from Cas about the ground. It should have been up and running 5 years ago. Yet they are still messing about.

Doubt everything, even this

Re: Franchise decision? : Thu Mar 31, 2011 1:41 pm
What the RFL said in 2008

Castleford's Wheldon Road ground, The Jungle, was deemed to be "limited and old fashioned" though well maintained

The club's ground, The Willows, was assessed to be "limited and old fashioned" despite having good corporate and disabled facilities

It seems to be pretty much a nothing argument to me.

Congrats Widnes. I'm glad Fax are still getting a look in, although I doubt they will be successful. I think it's fairly certain it will be a straight swap for Wakey, but who knows what will happen between now and July.

Congratulations to Widnes, and in particular to O'Connor et al for putting the work into the club and delivering a superb bid. Fully deserved. It was never in doubt because Widnes did all the necessary work.

As for Fax, the RFL have attoned for their silly timetabling of this license renewal by giving their bid the chance to stand up to other SL clubs bids. Time will tell whether they will come in, but they're certainly still in the mix.
