Kevin Langer was the older brother of your short term capture Alfie as well as a fantastic stand up comedian !!
Pig Dog Briant was supposed to have been a backpacker who was drafted in, didn't agree with the coach and they both ended up sporting black eyes.
Nick Mardon was not an aussie but a scot who we persuaded to came down south and play for us.

Greg Barwick was a great servant to the club and held / holds some of our point scoring records. May not have been a star in others eyes but a fantastic player just the same.

Yes, The game was against the kangaroo tourists. The game was played in thick fog so he wouldn`t have been noticed. IIRC his move to Bradford was something to do with a suspension he was serving.
