What more than you?
The picture from "your window" is I live down there in the Valley.
The Melbourne is my favourite City cause its least Australian like then a post that says you love Sydney and will live there one day?
Why would you want to live in either city when your comments suggest you despise Australians?
Stay in Oldham Mate.
There are enough pommie whingers here already and I for one would prefer you stay where you are.

Melbourne has pretty well NOTHING in common with Manhattan other than some tall buildings and people live there.
what part of "melbourne is like a cross between manhattan & manchester" are you struggling with?
ps. read this
http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2006/ ... 33380.html
twice they compare melbourne to a "mini manhattan"

I don't care what a Melbourne paper says comparing themselves to Manhattan in a vague way at that.
I visit Melbourne frequently and it is nothing like Manhattan, the fact that its not even a comparison to another City says plenty, last time I looked Manhattan was part of New York City.

As far as Manchester goes it does not compare to any Australian Capital city in any way.
Australian capital Cities are all Coastal other than Canberra and are all a lot more modern and cosmopolitan than old Manchester.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

The other about Victoria is the wine is the best in Australia - far better than the Hunter and only challenged in quality by Adelaide Hills.
Just shows the people of Melbourne demand quality to satisfy their educated palates rather than the volume required by the peeps in Sydney

Seeing as I don't live there I didn't have any current photos of Oldham as I thought you might figure out.
Bendigo and Ballarat are a bit apart, you got the first letter right I guess.
Let me know when you come out I could buy you a Beer of your choice.
Leaving it here Spud, the thread has derailed enough and my time left on this forum is limited I suspect.

The Barossa Valley in South Australia produces by far the best wines in Australia
The Hunter Valley is next in line.
Educate yourself mate.
