You know I was just thinking about some of the people on that list, I.e. Athletes who the BBC seem to be in love with and think everyone else is too, and wondering why isn't Danny Kent on there? For those who don't know him, he is a motorbike racer who this year won Britains first grand prix world championship in I think either 36 or 38 years, I forget when Barry sheenes last one was. He has surely achieved more in 2015 than say Jessica Ennis or Mo Farah?
Jessica Ennis-Hill got Gold in the World Championships, after having a baby. That is a massive achievement. I'm not saying Kent doesn't deserve a nomination, but Ennis has done a lot this year to deserve her nomination imho.
Good luck to him. A fantastic career on the pitch and has undoubtedly helped shape the Leeds club off it. His legacy from the philosophy and leadership he brought with him will be lingering around that club like a bad smell for years.
I'll certainly be 'buying him a pint' on the night, it'll be good for the sport to get that level of recognition for a change.
Please vote for Kevin Sinfield, make history, and vote for OUR sport. We don't get enough media coverage, this is our chance...
You can vote for FREE once online - You will need to register for a online BBC Account.
You can call as many times as you like - the number will be made available on the night of the awards.
#BuyKevAPint - Buy Kevin Sinfield a Pint for SPOTY Success, If everyone in RL spends just £3, the cost of a pint, on 20 phone votes for him on Sunday night he will likely win SPOTY.
If you don't vote, RL will be left behind again. Lets make a stand for our sport and an RL legend. We might never have the same chance again.
#Kev4SPOTY - Please put club loyalties aside for this one and lets show the other sports what the RL Family can do.
Right people today is the day. I know in a perfect world the RL player nominated would be someone from your own club or even another Leeds player such as Peacock, but it's Sinfield who has got the nod and whatever flaws you think he might have you can't disagree that he's been a great role model for our sport.
Simply put, a RL player has NEVER had this opportunity before and it's fair to say they might not ever get it again.
People can nitpick and say other Leeds players have been better this year or that it's a career nomination instead of just based on his 2015 year or that he doesn't have the most exciting personality.......but NO RL player has ever been nominated before and that is the worst thing here and its a chance to readdress that wrong. I'll admit when the whole "it's a vote for RL" thing started it sounded a bit cliché. But having heard fans from ALL clubs say that they'll vote for him and guys from all the other SL clubs giving him his backing has really made this nominatiom feel special. Can you imagine Wayne Rooney for example being nominated and Liverpool, Arsenal amd Chelsea fans coming out in support of him? No way, so that's what makes our sport great.
For all the times we complain that the media and likes of BBC and Sky don't give us the exposure we deserve, WE now have the opportunity to do it......it's in OUR hands, let's not waste it.
Mass voting is the key. It's only 15p a vote so if you can phone at least 5 or 6 times (or more) that's less than £1 to get RL the spotlight it's been starved of.

Thanks.
Nothing has ever made me want to go to those lengths to vote for anything. As always, i wont give the bbc any more money then i have to. Good luck to Kev anyway.

To those lengths? It's making a phone call or 2 minutes on the interweb, which is free.
Too much effort to vote for something that lets be honest, I have no interest in whatsoever. As I said, good luck to the guy though.
You have no interest whatsoever? why are you wasting your time posting on a thread about it then, you could have used that time wisely and registered to vote for him
Anyway surely you can see the bigger picture here for RL if he does well?
