It's frustrating to watch him as a wire fan at the moment. But I believe he'll come good once 'the ground firms up', as people say. Even signing for Warrington can't wash that much quality off him!



After last night's game it would be difficult and harsh to assess anyone properly, but well done to quins, played the game as it needed to be played in the weather.

I know unbeliable isn't it. On that dry frim pitch you would think the ball would have been sprayed out to the wingers.

If he only plays well in the dry then why buy him?

Horses for courses, i think it's generally excepted that in dry conditions you play with your backs, when its wet and slippy (last night was a quagmire) you would tend not to pass to much and lets the forwards do the work. Of course you knew this already, you just wish to act obtusely.

No, what happens is the backs come inside and share the work something the Quins backs did in bucketloads and something that King didn't want to do and when he had the odd chance of passing the ball he made an @rse of it.

King is a top class player but he still needs time to settle in. He has had a few knocks too which won't have helped.



He will still prove to be a major force as the games go by.

MONEY...look at it this way, you're 25 yr old, you're one of world rugby leagues biggest names, you're playing for a team at the top of their game who have just won a GF.....you're an automatic choice for your state and your country....your climate and surroundings are excellent....you're a national icon and a generally well respected sportsman.....and all this is a 10 minute drive from where you live...



what could make you give it all up and move half way round the world to a country where RL isnt the national sport, where the attendances are on the whole lower, where you wont be a national icon, apart from in certain post codes in warrington, you wont be an automatic choice for your state and country, where your friends, family and natural surroundings are thousands of miles away...in fact, what could make you give everything up apart from breathing in and out?



ahhh yes....because you're absolutely desperate to have a crack at the Superleague....



the up shot of it all is that money talks, whatever language you speak, and for the money that he's on, he ISNT doing the business at the moment.



'experts' say that you'll see the best of matt king when the grounds harden up and the climate is a better, but imo, if you're that good, you should be able to play in any conditions!

I sort of agree, but when it comes down to it, not many centres have really stood out this year, as the conditions just haven't suited flowing rugby. King will shine, he hasn't been anywhere near as bad as people have mad eout, he just hasn't been the world beater people wer hoping.

King, and Wire will come good over time, and when it clicks, he, and they will play some awesome rugby, which we have already seen glimpses of.
