Nothing fabricated about it at all, both Widnes and Warrington are in Cheshire. You really don't want to bandy words here about the size of Warrington's following. They have packed out many an away end during the SL era,and before SL.On some occasions the volume of that support has been bigger than Wakefield home crowds.
Don't know how the thread came on to away supporters, but never have Warrington brought more than the home fans. Sometimes your worse than KR for making things up
"Therefore, surely nothing in life is to be feared, only understood. Apart from getting shanked at the cash machine!"
I love this city, this is my town. We get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud. i love my city this is my town, we get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud

Never said that.I meant Warrngton have had followings of around 4-5000,sometimes in Yorkshire,(Leeds,Bradford)figures which were greater than some Trinity home games of the same seasons.

4-5k I would believe that when I see it, all I can say is you have never brought that to BV.
Awaits the poop ground etc etc for the reason why!

Please please give over my sides are splitting. When have you ever brought more away support than home support to Wakey? Come on name the game.
It's great news for the club whatever way you look at it. A plan is better than no plan at all and I can't think of many people from the area better backed and qualified to head it up than SRW.
If it comes off, he should be knighted again.
Also i'll just add to AP that its amazing how smug and superior Wires have got since the HJ came about. Good set of fans usually, but they are becoming more KR like every day.

Wigan and Saints have always brought far more fans to BV than Warrington!!
Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”
There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back! Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!
Please please give over my sides are splitting. When have you ever brought more away support than home support to Wakey? Come on name the game.
It's no more stupid or deluded than what was written by 'The Clan':

Wakefield’s Junior set up is better than Warrington’s and Widnes put together
I’m not denying that Wakefield have a good academy that is bringing through young talent to SL, but Widnes’ academies have also been doing this. There are 6 players currently placed in various SL squads that have come through our academies and we have 7 of our own youngsters in our own current squad. The RFL have deemed our accademy system as 'World Class' Also:

Continued investment in youth structures including appointment of Stuart Wilkinson and the development of a pathway course with Edge Hill University Continued development of youngsters that has seen former stars Richie Myler and Adam Sidlow progress. Current team includes 6 club developed youngsters including Paddy Flynn (currently being monitored by Saints)
This is being achieved while in the lower leagues. As a SL club we could achieve much more and tap into areas around us, where no direct competition exists for support and young talent.

Being close to Cas is actually a positive as it gives us a proper derby game, unlike the fabricated Cheshire derby that Wire and Chemics pretend to have.
The Widnes v Wire has been a derby game since the game was invented, whether it be as Lancashire or Cheshire. This alone makes it a more genuine RL derby than Wakey v Cas could ever be, since Castleford weren’t even around when our derby was created. It has been a substantially larger event over the years, and that has only changed because of our relegation and subsequent sojourn in the lower leagues.

Our support has grown by around 90% in the last five years and we averaged over 7,000 last year
Like I said, we got that four seasons ago, when in SL with a team near the bottom on the league.
I’m not having a go at Wakey here, but trying to address the blind ignorance of ‘The Clan’s’ desperate scraping of the barrel, trying to find positives where they just don’t exist.

You want me to explain it..........again?O.K.,once more.Warrington have,on occasions in the past, had more away support at SOME stadiums, not necessarily Belle Vue,than SOMEWakefield home gates the same season.Get it?I am not really interested one way or the other as I am not a Warrington fan but I was just responding to Clan who ridiculed Wires following in a Taxi the other week.Yes,clubs suppoters do turn up away from home in small numbers at times but Wakefield Would know all about that.Thats all I was saying.
