no it wasn't (but another example of trouble at football). that was away. the game i went to was 2-1 at OT.
owen scored first for liverpool and a scouser jumped up right behond us. how he made it out alive i'll never know.

The fact that its the 7th most read sports story proves why it was written. I'm not sure Leeds vs Wire would have ever got there.

Granted, there is far more regular trouble at football matches. I've seen trouble at Manchester United, Bolton (Burnden Park), Bury, Wigan (Springfield Park), Wembley, Millenium Stadium and a few others. I've also been in Manchester, Bury, London and Cardiff and seen trouble on the streets involving football fans. It's so common it doesn't make the news.

Fan trouble on any scale above a scuffle at a RL match is a very, very rare event and we can be proud of that. Unfortunately a consequence of our success means that when it does happen it's big news. Still, I know whch sport I'd rather follow.
