| Quote Wellsy13="Wellsy13"I think it's pretty ridiculous to predict an England team 4.5 years into the future. A lot can happen in 4.5 years. A lot of players can turn up in 4.5 years. A lot can leave in 4.5 years. It's all total guess work. Could you have even closely predicted the 2008 WC squad in 2004?
:'"
I wrote in my original post the following:
=greenBelow is a tentative squad for the 2013 World Cup. It contains some of the most exciting three quarters and halves that England has produced in two decades. The final squad of 23 will be announced sometime in 2013.
So if you had read my original post carefully, you would realise that I was not predicting the future squad with precision, only predicting the likely squad based on current form and age.
Of course another great player like Roby, Briscoe, McNally or McCarthy-Scarsbrook could appear out of nowehere in the interim. If that happens two years from now then I will add him to the squad which I formulate at that time.
I wondered in my original headline whether this squad was good enough to win the World Cup.
No one has speculated an answer to that question yet.

No I am not saying that. Read my previous post....
.... and while you are at it learn to spell because you are a bad advertisement for Huddersfield, which happens to be my favourite northern club.

You must be confusing the very speedy and agile Tom Briscoe with the former Hull FC now Hull KR full back Shaun Briscoe. Tom would leave Shaun and Wellens from Sintellins in his wake after ten yards.
Go to the Hull FC website and take a look at the videos of the lad.

| Quote efcrhino="efcrhino"Halley is welsh!
Gibson isn't good enough for Leeds when Smith is out never mind England!
Scott Moore will be in the side by then!
No Sam Tomkins or McGuire who will only be 30!
No Ashurst for Ablett
McShane should be in there as well
No Watkins??
McNally is in there who isn't proven at SL level yet...
Joel Tomkins will be good enough.
Yeaman should be in there.
Ellis will still be good enough.
I'd go:
1. Lee Smith
2. Tom Briscoe
3. Kirk Yeaman
4. Michael Shenton
5. Shaun Ainscough
6. Danny McGuire
7. Kyle Eastmond
8. Sam Burgess
9. Scott Moore

11. Jon Wilkin
12. Gareth Ellis
13. Joe Westerman
14. James Roby

From what I've seen I don't think he's any great shakes and just because he's got a gig with Easts doesn't mean he should suddenly be a front runner.

That is their feeder club! It is comparable in standard to the Championship division in England.
Even when Nate Myles and Willie Mason were stood down for drinking, Tansey wasn't picked as a replacement!

| Houghton should be in the team as an impact hooker. Obvioulsy no where near as good Roby, but imo better than McIllorum and Kaye.
If Hall could keep hold of the ball and keep his defence in top form he could well be in the team also.
By the time 2013 comes along I would imagine Jack Briscoe will be ready who is apparently better than Tom and Hull also have a 16 year old called Reece Lynn who is meant to be absoloute quality and a freak for his age group.
Also what about Kris Welham at Rovers? Sort his defence out and he will become a really good player.

| Atkins at Wakey is now starting to realise his potential, he's sorted his defense out and looks to use his winger more (sometimes a little too much) his power is phenominal and he played Shenton off of the park on Friday (they were on opposite sides of the pitch but Shenton was very quiet - granted he didnt get much quality service but he hardly went hunting for the ball either). If Atkins carries on this form then Im sure he has the attributes to make it as an international, with him Shenton and Yeaman we have three genuine quality centres. i like the look of Briscoe at Hull FC too, another very powerful player and Watkins at Leeds oozes class he makes the game look very easy.
