It will be worth a few quid on them for next Sunday. They will score 20+ points against Wigan, as will any team that can string together anything resembling a set move in the 20m. Wigan seem completely confused by the very concept of decoy runners atm and, coupled with a general softness up the middle of the park, this should see Celtic home.

They have looked poor the little I've seen, and despite constant patronising talk of effort and progress, they have today been battered at home by Quins.

They've already lost once to Salford and even Warrington, so their games down there will be massive.

It will make a mockery of licensing to have a team lose every game in a season. It's alright to say they are building for the future, but they could have done that in NL1, couldn't they.

I think the RFL have done this too early and risk alienating the Welsh public with a team of losing Aussies.

To be fair, if there was no licensing then Celtic would probably still be in SL this season anyway as we expanded the league to 14, and they were the play-off runners-up.
No matter what team went up as the 14th team, they would still have struggled IMO. It's what happens when you increase the league numbers. They'll start to come good eventually, that I have no doubt.

Everyone forgets that Catalans didn't win too many in the first couple of seasons. Celtic will get better and thier first win could come very soon. In some matches they have been competitive and not all that far off the pace.

They will win a few games (Hopefully against Wigan) and maybe finish bottom but think we all expected that, hopefully they will build and improve next season

Catalans won a fair few games IIRC. They finished on 16 points (the highest for a team finishing bottom) with 8 wins. I wouldn't compare that with Celtic. I'd compare Celtic more to Leigh Centurions in SL at the moment. It took Leigh until R8 to get a win, by 2pts against London. They managed to get 5 points in 5 games at that point, but then just didn't win again and took some major batterings on the way. At least Celtic haven't been battered yet.

And better clubs than they have struggled to back up two games in a short space of time, I ecpected them to run Quins a lot close than they did today.

Don't think Wigan will go unbeaten but they should (and Salford) should have okay seasons. They've had ample time to prepare for SL, just like Widnes in 2002. (Widnes finished 7th with a similar amount of preparation)
