Clubs are meant to be reducing their number of overseas players, yet HKR will have gone up 2 for 2011?

I don't have a huge problem with it myself, but the RFL need to grow a pair. If they going to put rules in place, make them proper ones, not ones with hundreds of loopholes.

There is growing a pair and there is leading with the chin. The RFL needs to avoid legal challenges from players whose livelihoods the rules could threaten.

The RFL should have hired a good legal team when they came up with this idea - now it just seems half baked.

IIRC it was HKR who opened the loophole so they could keep Stanley Gene on the books. I thought it only applied to players already in SL at the time of the new rules being introduced. Has anything changed?

Wigan had 4 non-euro players in the GF 17.

Carmont, Tommy (the two that started)
and
Feka and Riddell (off the bench)

i think you will find that is one less than saints did.

again, i dont think its fair to include richards in that just because he is irish, not english.

anyway, bring on your next way to insult wigan, sooner or later you will see the light. the whole idea about not having overseas players is to make the england side better, but 6 of the england squad came out of wigan. now correct me if im wrong, but doesnt that mean one out of every four players in the squad came from the wigan youth setup.

Why were some of these future England players released by Wigan then?
