Who may that be?

Featherstone, London, Leigh, Newcastle, Bradford & Widnes all aspire to Superleague.

None of them are prepared enough to go up now. None of then are prepared for fighting out a competition to see who is promoted. No such competition is planned for the autumn anyway.

Pick one "on paper" like licensing and the others will go apoplectic and may resort to their Lawyers. Don't we see what a horrible horrible mess Argylle has caused, who on earth in SL will let the man anywhere near the game here ever again, let alone Perez and the next phoney NA club.

I only have one solution. Stick Catalans in the Championship with Toulouse, and go with a 10 club English superleague next year............

YES it's harsh, but they are only guests and Gaucsh has basically aped Argylle this last few years and stuck two fingers up at SL bosses . Sadly the guest has to go......
Featherstone should be give the roll due to being runners up and then allowed to stay for 2021, shame for the other clubs but for me its the only argument, then next season two promoted, also drop Toronto for dropping out and give them minus 12 points if they declare going bust.

They are not ready now but should be the 12th team in the competition next year as defeated grand finalists or London’s relegation should be rescinded and they should be the 12th team next year.

No way should Toronto be in any league their time has now come and gone.

After Covid RL needs some stability with a world cup on the horizon as well, no North American teams for 2021 let’s get the UK clubs sorted first...

Don't get too far ahead of yourself.

Unless Argyle walks, Toronto will be fine.

Toronto will no doubt have repercussions to deal with, but they will continue to exist unless Argyle walks away.

Re: Toronto Wolfpack may pull out of Superleague : Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:52 am
I think when looking at who is “fit” to replace Toronto next season we need to keep out expectations extremely limited. The promoted team has never really fared all too well with a couple of exceptions.

I think Widnes stand a good shout amongst others if you look at certain criteria. But if it isn’t Widnes and Toulouse, Leigh or Fev get the nod, then I’m all for it. As long as Toronto do not retain their status next season

The pandemic has been a terrible thing but eventually the game needs to restart, and kick on. I wish no financial troubles to any Toronto player and back room staff but as a club who have personally withdrawn from the competition, they need to go

Happy to buy their way through league one and the championship at the expense of other clubs, happy to throw million dollar contracts at SBW but not willing to buy your way through survival for the remainder of the season.
It hasn’t been sustainable.

I can imagine a number of super league clubs have took a knock over the last few months. Not ideal to restart and if they withdrawn themselves, the competition would get cancelled. That’s why they need automatically relegating. Like many have said already on here, TWP for me don’t see set up to continue in 2021. Many hurdles ahead

This.

He has already stated they will be here next year and rightly so

This is the correct outcome as neither Leigh, Fev or Bradford have warranted being handed a place in SL.
