But, had you had your way, he'd have been out on his arse three week ago. Lucky for them that you aren't in a position to make those decisions. :

That does not follow.

I am sure that if Graham Murray, Michael Hagan or John Lang had taken over the coaching position, then the team would have rallied at least as well, if not better than they have under Kevin Walters. The squad, on paper, is capable of reaching the Grand Final.

The season is not even at half way yet!!!

I intend to go to some Les Catalans games in Perpignan, as I do most years. I have even attended UTC vs Toulouse and Toulouse vs Widnes in 2005! Maybe you should make the effort to go to some French games in France as well.

I expect that by season's end I will have attended many more of Les Catalans games than you -- not a great achievement admittedly.

I've never even been to France :)

Never really caught my imagination as a place i'd like to visit to be honest. Don't know why really. Maybe i will swap my cloth cap for a beret one weekend

The Halifax game against Toulouse, in Toulouse on Saturday 18 July at 8pm, would seem to provide the ideal opportunity for you to go. :D

Unfortunately i'm on holiday in Bath. It's the Halifax "Wakes" holiday which, for some strange reason, we still adhere to - even though i don't live there anymore and my wife's from Sheffield. I really do need to march into Europe and have a look at what all the fuss is about though.

There maybe some small minded and spiteful fans of the lesser English M62 clubs, who would like to ridicule Les Catalans performance today.

Any honest fans will recognise that Les Catalans were badly understrength today. They were missing their star playmakers and several international forwards. In particular the injured players (3 Australian, 3 French) were:

Greg Bird
Thomas Bosc
Adam Mogg
Jason Ryles
Cyrille Gossard
Sebastien Raguin

Had the positions been reversed, and Hull KR were without Dobson, Cooke, Vella, and three other regulars, while Les Catalans were full strength, no doubt that the scoreline would have been reversed.

The best thing that could happen to SL is to have around five French clubs involved within the next 15 years.

The French at least understand some of the basics skills involved in playing the game of Rugby League. Ironically, they are also far less self absorbed than the English and will look outside their own backyard in an effort to improve.

They will over take England in the next 20 years.....not thats that is some grand claim. There are country towns in Australia that are well ahead of England in regards to producing talent.

That's because there is nothing else to do in the middle of nowhere.

That is relevant, but not the issue at hand.

The matches against Featherstone, Halifax and Widnes will indicate whether Toulouse can qualify for SL this year.
