If you want a signed statement from the RFL then you are SooL, those are from respected sources.

As for the rest of your keyboard warrior style, suggest you read the posts in the thread and the warning issues by tb before you shoot your mouth off

Granted we might only get gay deaf people but numbers are numbers.

Gay deaf people who are looking for flirting via text with fun singles near by if we are being specific

Conjecture by journalists is proof of what the RFL said, and what you used to support your argument? Can you point to any quote from anyone at the RFL? Thought not.

Keyboard warrior style, is that what handing you your ass on a plate is called?

Got any links to prove your claims that Mancheter City Council don't want RL played there in the off season, or any proof that the RFL has tried to secure use and been declined? Thought not.

Pieces from authoritative sources is not conjecture, no you won't find an RFL source but you already know that as that is not how things like this get to the media.

You'd struggle to hand me a sandwich on a plate.

You got anything to say they'd love it and the RFL haven't been knocking? No? There have been enough chances for CoM to host a big RL match, the fact that they have only held one and that was close to six years ago speaks volumes to anyone but you, now if you can't handle that then tough.

Journalists speculating is conjecture.
What chances has MCC been offered and turned down?

So....gates were down by 3k on Saturday and 4.5k on Sunday.....no reason to panic, but to lose 7,750 people (13% against 2009) should worry the RFL.
I would like to see the event held in Dublin, London or Paris next. All three have the potential to be expansionist areas and all would cope easily with the influx of 35,000 people.

Dublin has a new 50,000 seater Rugby/Soccer Stadium in 8 days time. It is a 10 minute walk from the centre of town (with many pit-stop opportunities), good transport links and regular ferries from the UK, together with ample flights. The downside would be the associated costs of a weekend in Europes Drinking Capital......, but I still say that the Magic weekend would be a great success. Also, for those who despise Union (I still can't understand these people  )....what better way to stick to fingers up at the IRB than host a League event in their home town.

London has wembley or any number of stadiums that can comfortably hold 40,000 fans. All are pretty easy to get to and transport is getting a lot better.

Paris would be great! No issues getting there and plenty of hotel rooms, bars etc.......

IF the RFL are to keep the Magic weekend going, I believe they should miove it to the last May BH and continue to move it around.

It's been fun.

Re: The Magic Weekend 2010 : Thu May 06, 2010 1:28 am
Paris is a good shout, get the RFL to put some cheap trains on and let's advertise the game in France.
I would leave Ireland alone for a while yet though.
Why London, even though we have Quins and Skolars hasn't been seriously thought of i don't know?
There is definitely more potential here than Scotland.
The Emirates is near to Upper St which is a great place, cafes and pubs, a bus ride from the centre (20 mins), 15 mins from Kings Cross and Euston.
Tube stations, Holloway Road, Arsenal, Highbury corner. Drayton Pk overground.
Highbury fields close by for any little events.
