Many times, and not once in London have I been charged £6+ for half a lager! And that happened in more than one bar!!
I've never been charged £6+ for half a lager in Paris either. Mind, I do avoid the most obvious grockel haunts.
On the other hand, in my experience (as someone who lives in London) eating out here is more expensive than in Paris – and the food is generally better over there.
i think we are still trying to figure out the half a$$ed way the RFL have sold the international rights..
a normal organisation would have sold the 'friendly' tv rights to one company ie the mid season test & pre tournament warm up game to the BBC and then sold the 'tournament' tv rights to another company ie the 4 nations to sky..
but..i think, from what i can gather....that the mid season/warm up tests is on sky,1 of england's 4 nations games in on the BBC and the rest of the 4 nations is back on sky.....i think?

All I recall is that BBC get one England home international. Whether that is the mid-season, warm-up or a 4N game is another question. And whether I recall right or not is again another question.
But yeah, it does seem stupid to have one game from one tournament on one channel and the rest on another.
I thought the mid season test was on the BBC but I've never seen it confirmed. The timing of this match (mid june as apposed to late june when they have been last 3 years) suggests so though because its away from Wimbledon fortnight.
News just in, thanks to some posh bloke in sports management using his mobile in a comedy fashion on the District Line on Friday, like the fella off Trigger Happy... "oh yaah, I'm in the IPL auction later today, and then I'm off to the carribean..."
As a result of that and other indiscretions, I'm delighted to confirm that the France v Oz game in the autumn is also in Paris... "I've just got off the phone with Larrat..." etc etc
Bloke was hilarious, sunglasses on his head in the middle of winter and all that malarkey. Hope he doesn't represent any French players in meetings up north, they'd love him in Hull
What a stupid idea, playing it in Paris. What do the French RL think is going to happen? Flocks of onion fans suddenly converting overnight? Our first contender for Worst idea Of The Year.
