On the coach coming off the M1 at Staple's Corner at about 1.00 a.m. of a Monday morning after a game at Workington or Whitehaven, looking at the blocks of flats with only one or two lights still on and thinking 'I've done something this weekend - have you lot?'.
i was thinking today about times gone by and what reminded me of going to the rugby in my youth ,the main one being the boiling hot tomato soup at half time at Fartown in the late 80's - 30p a go ,it burned your mouth like hell but was bloody lovely stood on those crumbling terraces with 300 other hardy souls.
so what memory stands out for you - try and keep this serious-ish as it will be interesting to see what fans of different clubs/eras/generations come up with...........away ya go !
When Hudds were called Baracuders and played before double figure crowds, they were the days. Mind they still do play before double figure crowds when the away support is a bit thin.

yes i forgot about that, the fact that we still play in a ramshackled dump in front of a few hardy souls whilst wakefield have sinced moved on with their thousands of supporters attending games in droves in a state of the stadium

Thats pretty much all I remember from early games I went too!
My memory for games is generally pretty poor even for recent games but the first game that stands out in my memory is when we played Paris the day Diana died - all games before that seem to just be a big blur!
