Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

I witnessed a bit of trouble at games back in the 80's and early 90's but nothing in recent years.

I remember attending a Widnes v Wigan game at Naughton Park in 1990 or 1991, which got a bit nasty.

Was that the Plate Semi-Final at Hilton Park in '97 mate? If so at the time I was gutted at not been able to get there (was only 13 or 14 so too young to drive obviously), but since then have read a few stories about that day. :SHIFTY:

I'm not old enough to have been going in the 80's. I havn't experienced all that much trouble really, a couple of pitch invasions (at Craven Park and McCalpine sp?), a brawl outside The Early Bath at Cas, and coach windows being put in at Warrington are about as bad as it's got for me. My uncle and his mate got set upon at St Helens aswell, fortunatley a car full of Hull fans were driving past at the time and came to their rescue.

I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

I personally have never had any problems at Rugby, home or away. Even though I follow one of "those clubs with a reputation" that some posters are inferring to.

Unfortunately however, I have witnessed various incidents involving various idiots supporting Fc. Biggest of all, of course, being Good Friday 1981 at the Boulevard. The main centre of the ruckus took place at the Gordon St end, opposite to where I tended to stand. To this day, no one is totally sure who started the brick throwing (renegade Tigers fans has always been a popular view around these parts).

Things appear to be a little quieter these days, although we still do have the odd spot of bother in the NE corner of the KC. This is usually down to p!ssed up 12 year old chavs from Orchard Park getting uppity when things aren't going too well on the pitch.
Co-incidently, chav corner is again the opposite end to where I stand/sit. I obviously must be fraternising with a better class of people when I attend my favourite sport, thankfully.

They were involved with the incident a few years back that has led to me now not going to Hull. It was the Warrington game (the Andrew Johns) one and they all left early to create some pretty ugly scenes as the game finished. As usual just a minority.

That was the only time in 30 years of watching that I have been involved in anything like proper 'violence' at a game. Normally doesn't get much past the 'scuffling' stage.

RL has a great record. Just ignore that book, it is a load of b*****ks.

You've stolen my washing
From out my back garden
You've tarmacked my driveway
Even though I said no
You've nicked my lead flashing
And weighed it in at the scrappy
Oh St Helen's tatters
Come rob me again

I see a couple of posts refer to the old "it was football fans, uff, uff, uff" excuse. Funny, i've never heard of football violence being blamed on rugby fans!

Yes, remember hearing about that the following day. There is an element of our crowd that most of us just wish would disappear. I can imagine an incident of that nature would make people wary about paying a return visit. Thankfully, as you point out, it is a dumb minority, but a minority nevertheless who are capable of wrecking someone's weekend and can cause problems for others.

Chill out bro, my comment was meant as a joke. You know as well as me, that within the City, tigers fans have been blamed for Good Friday ever since the day it happened (even though there isn't a shred of evidence to support the theory).
I remember when we had the little incident at McAlpine, and someone phoned in to Blunderside to accuse City fans of being the culprits. The presenter then asked (tongue in cheek) if it was the same City fans who started the Good Friday riot many years before.
The laughable part about it, is the fact that in 1981, City had barely enough fans to start a scuffle, nevermind a full blown riot.
