I don't actually think Penny is as quick as some think. The main thing about him is that he's very confident in his own ability and he's prepared to back his pace. I think alot of Wingers would be able to take people on and score tries like he does, but they almost always play it safe and come back inside. In fact, after watching Penny taking that cross field kick and getting reeled in when it looked like he was in, and then watching Riley chasing down a kick that ended up a drop out, I though Riley actually looked margainly quicker than Penny. Penny is quick, but by no means the next Martin Offiah.
I've been something of a critic of Penny, but after watching him bomb them chances in the the first half I was impressed in the way he kept his head up, scored a decent try, and then he looked great under the high ball in the second half.
