Justin's right though, Thaler is sh*t. If I was as bad at my job as he is at his I'd be sacked tomorrow.
I don't see what the big issue is when coaches make comments about referees. It's as if they aren't protected enough by not having some sort of public disciplinary for poor performances and shocking decisions.
I didn't need to be. All I need to be able to do is to remember his comments after Ganson handed the MM derby to you on a plate last season.
Morgan is the biggest hypocrite in SL.
Bless.
Absolutely right. It was only a few games ago that Justine was praising a wonderfully disciplined performance by his team as they weren't penalised in the second half of a game. Now the type of people who sincerely believe that a team can play 40 mins of Super League without committing one offence are those who think those e mails from Nigeria are genuine offers. Justine got a huge break there from the officials then and had the gall to claim the glory for himself (aren't we a well coached team being the implication). Now everything doesn't go his way and his team are hammered (we aren't talking about a close game here), we get a huge dummy spit. It is not the first time has come up with this ridiculous whining (8 broken jaws at Wire for instance).
Given his history lets hope the RFL slam a big fine on him
..and also keep selecting Thaler for KR games.

It wasn't so long ago that people were blasting Ganson week in, week out.
I recall another current referee who apparently thinks its OK for Malcolm Alker to throw forward passes.
Let's face it, there are few decent referees in Super League. The only two that I have ever seen are Calvin Ashley Klein -- an Australian who has recently gone back to Australia so he can get to know Ricky Stuart better -- and Thierry Alibert, a Gallic stalwart whose main defect is that his breath always smells of garlic snails.
His history of complaining about the referee every time he loses, known by all RL fans with an IQ above 50 - which naturally excludes KR fans and explains your confusion.

According to Robbie Paul (not the greatest source admittedly) on the SLS this is a new law this season. A player who is out of play at the play the ball is only brought back into play at the next play the ball. This is certainly much clearer than the highly subjective idea of being in play after they have lost any advantaged gained.
I don't think that's new this season. It's certainly correct though. If you are in front of your own team's PTB you are out of play until the next PTB. You cannot be brought back in play like you can if you are offside.
