Refs make mistakes, players make mistakes and managers make mistakes, its human nature, deal with it.

The refs do a very difficult job, the are making these decisions at match pace and often make decisions based on what the touch judge says apart from televised games they don't have the luxury of replays on TV. As I said the berating of referees by managers is getting stupid and I hope Morgan gets punishment for his latest outburst, he seems to be a very sore loser.

Again, I'll go back to my original post:

The point is, everyone you mentioned above is publicly accountable for their mistakes except referees.

If Justin kept quiet and approached the RFL about Mr Thaler's performace do you really think anything would be done about it? Nope. You can slam him as unprofessional or whatever you want, but referees need to be brought down from their pedestals and made accountable for their p*ss poor performances publicly!

You are taking it as a "given" that there was something wrong with the referee's performance. That is your error as it is just the opinion of Morgan and some disgruntled fans of the losing team. Such reports as I've read, for example, don't slag off the ref.

Sorry Mr 14000 posts, your opinion is obviosuly more valid than mine because you don't like what I have to say

What exactly is my "agenda"? All I want is to see an improvement in refereeing standard and if that means dropping refs if they aren't good enough then so be it.

Well having Thaler always in charge wouldn't solve anything, and would be unfair on us, seeing as how he is clueless and almost as bad as Alibert.

No you want them publicly accountable, I'm curious as to what you think this would achieve, I am also wondering how a few games in lower leagues would help the performance of a SL ref. I'm sure when refs have a bad performance it gets review by the boss, just as when players do, you very rarely see managers come out and say 'joe bloggs was terrible today he did this wrong he did that wrong'.

Blaming the ref is avoiding the reason the team lost the game.

Hull KR started well and took a very early 8 zip lead. Huddersfield started poorly and then lost Fulton to a knee injury. Things were looking good for a Rovers win. However, as time went on Huddersfield came back into the game. Started making a few breaks, scored a try and kicked the touchline conversion.

The crowing started. "Forward!" they cried. No penalty. My, how can this be? The Rovers fans say penalty, surely a penalty it must be!

But no, Thaler chose to use his eyes and those of his touchjudges rather than the eyes of Hull KR fans twitchy at seeing their side lose their grip on the game. Morgan, used to seeing his side getting calls when the Rovers fans scream for a decision, was perplexed. Surely he should give the forward pass. After all, they called for it! It surely must be so!

I think much of this is frustration at watching a game go away from Rovers. They were looking good after ten minutes but it drifted away and they tried to sway the ref by calling forward etc every two seconds and booing when we had the ball. It was actually funny by the end, behind the sticks we Huddersfield speccies started joining in!
