Why should Doni need the stewards any way surly they could not see any trouble because end of the Queens are only a pub team. only people who have Played against Queens can tell you how bad this bunch thugs are.

ARKEL I was also at the Donny Rovers game last night. I agree with u on the stewards in the home area. But did you see how many stewards were in the away end.

There were almost as many stewards as qpr fans. (OK Slight exaggeration!!! but plenty in there) Dont forget in Football there is segregation and its easier to stick stewards where the away fans are.

Plus at football there are always police outside the ground on standby to come into the stadium at a flash of a hat.

We were very fortunate on saturday that South Yorks police were able to scramble a quick force together when they took the call from the keepmoat for assistance

Just did a quick sum that's all.

10.000 crowd, 200ish stewards - 1 steward per 50 people.

On Saturday the crowd was 600 and I was lead to believe
there was about 25 staff on duty - 1 steward per 24 people.

But it is the Police presence that makes the difference but also
makes costs prohibitive.

Thats not the point though is it, the point is that if there were less stewards per supporter last night and something HAD kicked off then those stewards would have been even less able to contain the problem.

Having demonstrated their inability to control an aggresive situation within a small crowd once I would have thought that they may have increased security rather than decreased it ?

After 30 odd years in the 'Keeping the Peace' Business. I can tell you now that the guys who carry out the Stewarding at The Keepmoat or the average Joe Steward at any ground could not have controlled the situation. It was a very serious Public order situation and the charges that may well follow, will, I am sure reflect that. No place for it anywhere in this Land never mind a Rugby league game.

I wish everyone would read bramleyrhino's post two or three times just to get it through some thick skulls

Mr bramleyrhino speaks a lot of sense.

To be fair, it is Hull's fault that Thackery did play.

Hull, like all clubs, will employ a football secretary that is responsible for player registration documents and informing the coaching staff as to who is / isn't registered for a given fixture.

Whether the RFL did/should have procedures in place which would have stopped Thackery (or any ineligible player) from taking the field is another matter although personally, I don't think that it's the RFL's job to supervise club employees.

Right decision, 60 minutes had been played, Doncaster were getting on top anyway and would have won - I hope the clubs involved can get rid of the scum that caused this to occur

What an utter disgrace! Attacking kids and pregnant women is the ONLY way a fan can ensure a replay when his team's losing, and now the RFL have cruelly taken it away! I'm so angry I could kick a pram over!

...for f*ck's sake!

This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.

I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.

Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
Don't ask me because I can't say what it is while it is under investigation, but when/if it comes out you'll know exactly what I mean.

Hmmm. Doesn't mean we can guess though.

I'll go first

He was picking his ars and sniffing his fingers?

I got caught doing that at Cubs behind the tuck shop, whilst serving when I was 8 years old. I got a ban from serving so I am putting two and two together....

:) Good call why should the Dons be punnished for the actions of Foul mouthed and abusive Queens fans, The Keepmoat Stadium security isn't the Dons responsibility as they don't own the Stadium any fine against the Dons would be very unjust, Queens should be banned from the CC for 5 years and the RFL should look at taking action against the firm that owns the Keepmoat/provides the security.
