Anyway, I thought it was a decent game, bit of a forwards arm wrestle but a decent game, not every game needs to be a tryathon with poor defenses on show.

It was utter turd. There was little attacking endeavour from either side and Quins got home by being the better of two very poor teams on the night.

Tosh!!

Quins played with a very simple game plan. Hull weren't good enough or inventive enough to counter it. Job done. Well done Quins!

Agreed, Quins did a solid job on them and worked hard to make up for last weeks poor showing, i enjoyed the game.

Precisely. Having actually been at The Stoop and paid full attention to the whole eighty minutes I found it a compelling game to watch. In the previous two weeks I've seen my team rack up the biggest score of the current season against a dire Warrington, and I've seen us soundly beaten by a very good Huddersfield. This was a better match to watch than either of those with far fewer unforced errors and better defending all round. Some people seem to think the score count has to reach basketball proportions for a game to be good entertainment.

I've already agreed that Hull weren't good enough to win when I said Quins were the better side. The fact remains, both sides played boring rugby and I'd have much rather have seen a little attacking flair from either side than the five drives and a kick that was on offer.

The fact that Quins' five drives and a kick were better than Hull's doesn't make it any more entertaining.

Clubb ran in his try on the 6th tackle. Purdham kicked from the base of the scrum when Dorn missed the bounce under the posts. More to our game than five drives and a kick.

Only because it wasn't worth kicking to the sidelines or kicking dead. :)
