In my experience you will struggle.

I was in Turkey last year, in Iclemer, watched the Wire Saints game, loads of places had it on as it was on Sky. Found a bar with some Saints fans in and watched it with them, great atmosphere and enjoyed the banter. Couldn't watch the Semi though as it was on BBC. Went in one bar, the owner spent half an hour with one of those remote dishes, and about 14 different recievers to no avail. In the end I gave up and went to an internet cafe, for the BBC's live text updates. You can't watch it online, or listen to it, as the BBC site will log your IP address.

In some respects I understand this as I pay my licience fee.

I had the same problem in Lanzarotte the year before. The owner of the irish bar I went in said he could get any channel except BBC. I ended up getting live updates over my mobile, cost a fortune, but was worth it.

The only solution I could think of is to take my laptop, use the hotel's Wifi, and find one of those dodgy streams.

I have now come up with a better solution, going away on the 9th, back on the 23rd.

Off to Kyrenia in Cyprus on Wednesday and need a place for the Wire vs Wigan CC game? A long shot since it's on BBC but does anybody know?

Something else I've just thought of. You wouldn't be able to listen to any BBC radio station (I don't think it's broadcast over the world service), but comercial stations should be accessible. Wire FM, online, would be almost like being there.

I am off to Menorca on Friday and was wondering if anyone knows of any bars/restaurants that show BBC? I am staying in Cala en Forcat.
