Not that I have a clue about how much advertising costs on Sky Sports, or the whether the demographics are similar; but doesn't it kind of prove my point that it isn't just about viewing figures?
Is there any evidence of the demographics being similar for that matter? Or that it costs more for SL advertising than GP?
I find it very hard to believe that RL gets less than other sports because we just don't know how to negotiate very well.
it was reported on TRL re advertising rates by a well know RL journalist about the fact that it costs more to advertise during SL games than GP.
there was another story on there about the number of AB demographics (or whatever the "good" demogrpahics are) that RL actually has the same as union for club games)
there was a story reported from some people at sky on the difference between RU & RL negotiators.
RL guys would take the first offer then be in the pub with them after wards, whilst the union guys would negotiate for weeks.
RL in england has double the viewers RU does and it costs more to advetise during a RL game than a RU game, why does RL get less then?
if the demographics of union were so much better why does RL have higher advertising rates.
teh situation in Oz is because the game is part owned by a company that also part owns our TV broadcaster.
