So rather than go out and find a young british centre with the potential to be good enough, you look to the NZ reserve grades?

Well we have just announced the signings of 3 Welsh youngsters including an 18 year old centre. So with their recruitment presumably complete Wigan have now signed 5 foreign players who are not eligible for the England national team that creates the cap exemptions in the first place.

Can the Wigan fans on here not see that this is going outside of the spirit of the cap exemptions?

Chris Flannery played for the Roosters for years.

If he was any good, they wouldn't have sacked him for a prank gone wrong - they would have "rehabilitated" him.

I agree, but we havent actually signed him, like alot of rumours it might be completely untrue.

at least they tried with Carney i.e. they wanted to keep him, despite numerous indiscretions.

With this lad, it was 1 mistake and out of the door - leading to the assumption that they didnt want to keep him, because he wasnt that good.
