Interesting that you lie here considering you made the spelling mistake in bold to highlight the fact I had made it.

But don't let that get in the way of truth?

As for my mental capacity, fair enough how dare I have an opinion that differs from yours.

Have a different opinion that is fine. But when Jean put this "As for the past PNG contributors to Super League we have not only Paul Aiton, but also the tyro Stanley Gene, Makali Aizue and the champion winger Marcus Bai".

And then I put Lam and backed it up with this argument:

It doesn't say products of the PNG system who contributed to SL does it? It simply says PNG contributors. Is Lam a Papua New Guinean? Without a doubt he is. Did he contribute to Super League? Yes. He was one of the best halves in the British game at the time. So please stop picking arguments that aren't there and just accept that my point still stands. Lam is a Papua New Guinean and has contributed to SL.

Then it is not having a difference of opinion. It is fact that Lam is a Papua New Guinea and it is fact he is a PNG contributor to Super League. And yet again, you never seem to actually answer the post, just accept that you have no argument here. And no opinion to be had. Fact is fact.

Oh ffs stop being a big baby. I highlighted 'bread' to make my point I never actually noticed you'd spelt it wrong and because of that I spelt it wrongly as well. I don't need to bring up spelling errors to win this argument so get over yourself.

Again you are either wilfully missing the point as regards La or you're plain stupid.

Fact regardless of any other factors he is a product of the AUSTRALIAN system not the PNG club scene that is a FACT end of!

Yes Stanley Gene (especially) and a few others have made a small contribution too SL but it's small. You couldn't create a SL team if you lumped them all together in fact you could barely make a team full stop.

If you wish to fantasise about the importance of PNG players to SL be my guest but don'y expect those with the ability to reason to go along with you. Some of us see things as they are not how we wish them to be.

Just to hammer home the point Lam is a product of the AUSTRALIAN system, I thank you. :CHILL:

  You are the one who highlighted it mate. Big baby? Okay. Maybe you are the one who needs to get over themselves.

Again with the attempted insults. I did not miss the original point that Jean made. He clearly stated PNG contributors to Super League. Lam is a PNG contributor to Super League. Regardless of which system he came through. I was merely agreeing with Jean's statement and adding Lam to the list of PNG contributors. Which he is. Fact. Then you came along and tried to cause an argument over pretty much nothing.

Please point out the exact place in any of my replies where I have specifically said PNG players have been massively important to SL or anywhere where I have stated anything other than they have been PNG contributors. Except where I have stated that Lam was one of the best halfbacks of the early 2000's (which he was). Other PNG contributors have had nowhere near the impact Lam has had, Gene had longevity and won a few trophies. Other future contributors could potentially be up there with the likes of Gene if they perform well which Jean was suggesting could happen to Mead and the Albert brothers.

For what it's worth I don't think players from PNG have had anywhere near as much impact in SL as those from the likes of Samoa and Tonga. But I for one gladly want the PNG players over here to do well. If they do, it can only improve the PNG national team which means a bit more competitiveness at international level. They are after all the only nation who's main sport is RL. And if you include the PNG players that have done well in the Championship too then you have a list of some very good players.

David Mead, Marcus Bai, Menzie Yere, Jason Tali, Garry Lo, Stanley Gene, Adrian Lam, Makali Aizue, James Segeyaro, Mark Mexico, Jason Chan, Neville Costigan, Paul Aiton. SUBS: Wellington Albert, Kurt Baptiste, Stanton Albert, John Wilshire. And I'm probably missing some more.

Anyway my apologies to everyone else. It feels like it's gone off topic too much now. So are there any more possible rumours or signings to be announced by clubs?

To point out - it has been made clear to me that this forum is NOT for arguing. Just be careful, my only advice.

So we should all just have the same opinion on everything? I know sometimes it gets a little heated, but there only disagreements whats the point in having a forum fgs? Although one thing i do not like, which i have seen creeping in quite lot recently is personal insults - Seems as though if you are certain posters you seem to get away with it.
