I can't think of many better in Super League than Harrison Hansen in what he does. As you say, he's a workhorse who does all the hard graft every successful team needs. An example of this was seen in the Wigan v Leeds game last season at the DW, Joel Moon made a break at a point in the game which would have got Leeds back in with a shout and Hansen chased the man down and not only made a try saving tackle but also knocked the ball free from Moons hands.
The lad is class pure and simple.
It's also a big thing for us as he is a Salford lad, his Dad played for us and we've just signed a player under contract from the double winning Champions who is in his prime.
Oh I'm not doubting his credentials, but you haven't signed Greg Inglis, you've signed a very good 2nd rower. The way Solly fans are going on you'd think the big Melbourne trio had signed and were bringing the Burgess boys with them.
And he's definitely from Swinton.

'Mental excitement'? You're damn right.
Exactly one year ago today the club were meeting fans to explain what a hole we were in, and we were left feeling that it was very unlikely we would be able to start the 2013 season. 12 months on we have signed our 14th new player. And it's Harrison Hansen, who was due a testimonial and was set to play in a World Club Challenge match in Australia for his one and only club, the recent double winners...
God, don't we know it.
He's moved simply because Kashkow has thrown a fortune at him. The way I heard it H originally turned him down in order to see out his testimonial year at Wigan even though Dr K offered to beat whatever he expected to make, and then join Salford in 2015. The only thing that would change his mind is cold hard cash. No player in their right minds would make such a move unless it was a hugely rich deal.
