the Claret And Gold Machine is ready to roll

sunday September 1st 2013, when a dream became a reality!!

Re: This Sintellins team..... : Sun May 25, 2014 4:54 pm
we have been pretty poor all season to be perfectly honest, apart from the first game at wigan we have not really played well in any other games, but we are 5th going into the 2nd half of the season and hopefully with a fully fit squad we can improve, we have to improve if we are to seriously challenge wigan/leeds/wire/saints.

Huddersfield fans make me laugh.

When teams give them a thrashing they slyly deflect any credit/remove credit for the opposition by bemoaning how poor huddersfield were.

Yet when roles are reversed, huddersfield fans get chippy when the quality of the opposition is questioned. ''WHAT ABOUT HUDDS? WE DESERVE CREDIT! WE DESERVE PRAISE! PRAISE US!''

In fact theres a similiar thread on your board regarding bradford last week.

Huddersfield are an average team who will be making up the numbers this season. They won 1 playoff game last season and I imagine they'll win one this season. Maybe now the full scale of how meaningless their achievment last season was will sink in for those who proclaimed it like it as the second coming.

I think that's a harsh appraisal of Hudds. I reckon they're dark horses come playoff time. They've shown they can beat those around them and quite convincingly at times. IF fit come season end then their team is capable of having a 3/4 week purple patch were they could beat those other contenders around them.

Their fortunes this season seem to be more based around attitude and effort rather than quality, which I think they do have enough of. Those attitudes and effort can be massively different once you get to the business end of the year, whereas a lack of quality can't be hidden.

calm down dear.
i wasn't deflecting any praise away from saints, i just don't think they played particularly well either they just tackled better, passed better, ran harder than we did, they were better than we were in every department i have said so on another thread.
i have also said many times this season when we have won games when we haven't played well that had we played a better team we could have struggled to win ( bradford away, wakefield home and london away) we weren't particularly good but won because the opposition were poor, same happened on friday, saints were average and convincingly beat a poor team on the night.

it must hurt a bit that leeds haven't beaten this average team in 7 games now despite being far superior than we are?

The only reason they look up to you is because they chose to kneel.

Don't be silly, Warrington were just world class on the day and made us look very average, despite us putting everything we had into the game. AGHHHHH THE HYPOCRISY. IT HURTS

Top of the table whilst recently being apparently in crisis.

That's got grand final appearence, trophy winning, title contending, peaking at the right time, in a great position to strike in october smeared right across it.

and people had the temerity to bring this thread into question.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

He's one of those Leeds fans though that have been hanging onto the "our props are too line" since 2010.
