LeagueFreak may have predicted the Aussies to win but who wouldn't?
I dislike his comments as much as the rest of you but it is sadly true compared to the Aussies and the Kiwis we are s**t. We can be competitive against the kiwis but thats about it. We just don't come close to Australia.
We have some good young players coming through in super league which will hopefully make us stronger and be able to replace some of the rubbish we have in our side and who knows maybe we can be more competitive at the next world cup but for as long as we continue to neglect our young english talent for average Aussies who just come to England for a year or a couple of years then we'll forever be third best.
How could anyone argue otherwise?
define competitive.....
cos losing a series 2-1 like we do most of the time against australia often going down to the last test or losing even a series 3-0 but losing every test in the last 5mins like in 2003...or beating NZ every other time we play them,as we do....or beating australia as often as NZ do,as we do... would'nt indicate that we are'nt competitive...in fact quite the opposite...
what we lack ,at the moment,is mental fortitude...whether that be the ability to play for 80mins,the abiltity to read different styles of play or the ability to get our head around different ref styles..

2003 was the most competitive in years yet ended up a whitewash; people really need to look in to the context of these things. Bloody heartbreaking was that Test series.
