He's been let down by a lot of people at Salford. Their players aren't good enough to win SL, but there is enough there to make them a very tough team to beat. They have a superb fulback, superb halfbacks and a sizeable pack. What they don't have is any sort of team spirit or unity. I'd suggest they weren't actually trying against Saints, too many people hiding instead of taking the ball, far too many turning their back in defense and not showing the required commitment. He's paid an awful lot of money to keep that club on life support and he's had absolutely no response from anyone, the players, the staff or the fans. It's a club that is in severe danger, he pulls the plug and it looks pretty disasterous for them. Sure they may survive in some kind of Championship 2 FC United of Manchester kind of way, but they are done as a professional outfit if he departs. And why should he stay? He's handed over £5m+ and no one is even trying to make it work. Sure he's crass at times and needs to keep off Twitter, but he's right to be annoyed and could hardly be blamed if he walked away.
