I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

I thought the Burgess no try then loosing Solomona so soon after had knocked the stuffing out of us.

I don't see how you can't call tonight's game great entertainment. I've seen sporting contests at the low skills levels that have still been great entertainment e.g. mateur boxing, City v Gillingham, NL Playoff Finals, rugby union, darts. Sport has always been and always will be primarily about entertainment. Nobody remembers how Tyson beat Tyrell Biggs because it was rubbish. Everyone remembers how Jack Dempsey beat the original 'Wild Bull Of The Pampas' Luis Firpo. I can hardly remember some FA Cup Finals yet I fondly remember the Clive Mendonca playoff final.

If tonight's game had been 12-13 and had the same kind of error levels I would imagine it was probably a dour game. Tonight's game had some big changes in lead, great tries, big hits, powerful runs, video ref controversy and a momentous last twenty. If that's not entertainment then even The Jam's song won't make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.

Well said that man. Again.

The reason that it was good entertainment was because there was some poor defence. The two tries that Saints scored from the kick off in quick succession in the first half should have been have been prevented and there was the Burgess try where Graham let go of him. There is simply no way that Saints should have blown a 26-10 lead against a struggling team that had lost as heavily as it did last week.

There is probably a point to your post. Somewhere in there. Probably. Fscked if I know what it is, but probably.

It was great entertainment for any neutral. Some great RL and a game that wasnt a walkover, result in doubt to the very end and big wraps for the never give up attitude of Bradford. Sad to hear the Saints fans boo their team. God knows what will happen if they ever turn into a mid table outfit.

Burgess, Lynch and Scruton were all quality performers last night...

not read the whole thread, but i hope a lot of bradford fans feel ashamed for not turning up to watch that display, as an FC fan even with the tripe we were displaying last season we never stopped supporting our team where ever they went

Of course they shouldn't - but they did and that is what made it such an entertaining game. Well done Bradford.

The whole Bradford pack stood up to be fair, Jamie Langley and Matt Cook did more than their share too (even though they did give away a couple of silly penalties) and it is no surprise that there was a lack of attacking threat from them when Terry Newton was off the pitch, he was crucial to it.

There was a lot of talk about them being the "best pack in the league" pre-season, last night they started going about attaining standards they have to live up to on a regular basis if that sort of description isn't to be laughed at.
