Arguments that one sport is superior to all or any others can never be resolved and serve little or no purpose. All sports have a place, but many also have the capacity to adapt and evolve in response to changing trends in society.

i think they serve a useful purpose, especially when some sports just lie about their popularity

union as a sport hasnt changed in 100 years

its destined to following test match cricket into irrelevancy

too slow, boring and error strewn

RL will simply corner the market

you well may be right......and Union will vanish, but if you compare the GLOBAL viewing figures for the RUWC as say...against the GLOBAL viewing figures for the 4 Nations, RLWC and Origin combined, I think you'll find that the "liars" are targeting the right people.
The RUWC is now officially (according to the GLOBAL media) the third largest sporting event in the WORLD after FIFA WC and the Olympics and before the TROLL HUNTERS COME OUT IN FORCE....I am not backing Union............just pointing out a fact as against an opinion from Dally M.
You will notice that I "bolded" the word GLOBAL so as to ensure that the troll hunters were sure I wasn't talking about their little beice of the GLOBE that they seem to think is THE GLOBE

because the aussie trolls get a hard on when you mention viewing figures, the rugby world cup is only third behind the fifa world cup and the olympics. Im not sure if the rugby league world cup made the top 50

union is a decling sport

in terms of lies i remember a claim of 1 billion viewers watching the union world cup




rl doesnt need to lie, its got the product and the players, thats all that matters.

anyway there is more action in samoa vs tonga in RL than the union WC final

you just can match the skill of our players
