I've organised a fundraiser for Sonny Fai, and have been given permission by his manager, his family, and the Warriors, to sell silicone wristbands outside Mt Smart.
I have ordered 1,000 of these wristbands, which will be yellow and orange in colour, with black writing. The yellow and orange reflects sunrise, sunset, Sonny's name, new beginnings, and his love for bright colours. The black writing is designed to sum him up in three words: Humility, Courage, Sacrifice.
The idea is that people buy them, and then they can look at them and not just be reminded of Sonny, but be inspired to live up to those attributes.
If you're interested in getting one or more bands, you can contact me (David) via the Sonny Fai Lets Pray group on Facebook, on my mobile, (0064212250094), or at my email address (daveandangietaylor@yahoo.com).
Wristbands will be be selling for $4 each. You can either get them at the game, or I can send them to you anywhere in the world for $4 + P&P.
The planning has come to an end and the real work is just beginning. We hit the pavement and urge Warriors fans, (and those of visiting teams), to help contribute a few coins to the Fai family. Precisely how the money will be spent is a matter for debate between ourselves, the club, and the Fai family, but suffice to say, it will be well spent.

Hi everyone and thanks for the messages on here, via PM and through email.
Firstly, he is still classed as missing. A memorial service was held yesterday 10th March at Bethalls beach where a plack in Sonny's honour was layed.
Humility means, that Sonny was humble a modest and down to earth person.
If you're in Australia, advertising for these bands have hit hard, we have featured on Fox, The Footy show and also Big League, various radio shows and many other places.
We have co-ordinators taking orders in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
If you'd like a band email faiwristband@gmail.com for more information.
Remember ALL proceeds are going to the Fai family, as to what we're not sure but it will honour Sonny.
Thanks again.

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11
Is there anyway you can arrange every club in the NRL gets atleast a 1000 of these wristbands,so when we attend games we can buy them in the ground?
You can arrange it thru the NRL ,I'm sure every club would be willing to raise money for Sonny Fai's foundation. As all RL supporters are saddened by the loss of this great man.
