Shocking incompetence by Quins management. He was a great asset to the club. He could also cover scrum half.

I believe the mix up was more on the RFL's part. By the time they'd changed their minds and changed the rules we'd already decided to go with Ben Kaye.

The Quins owed it to Julien Rinaldi to keep him, given his sterling performances for the club over the years.
If a contract had not already been signed then I would rather have disappointed Kaye than Rinaldi.
