Everyone bangs on and on about British coaches, yet it is becoming increasingly clear that they aren't good enough.

Cullen, Lowes, McNamara are good examples of the rubbish British coaches come up with. Cullen had a good few years to turn a brilliant squad into a half decent team and couldn't manage it, Lowes has taken the same squad and removed what qualities it did have and is only being kept on to save face. McNamara is building quite the empire at Bradford too.

Why should British coaches be given a chance?

Interesting post. I've seen many, many sheite antipodean coaches too, some of whom have failed despite massive resources at their disposal. It's about the individual, not where they're from

Our entire 1st team coaching staff is British, and its working out so far

still a long way to go though obviously

McNamara's the worst out of the bunch unfortunately. I'd take Lowes at Bradford, not quite as Head Coach yet though.

McNamara now has to be odds on for the sack.

Why don't Super League clubs have a punt with top British Championship coaches before taking a gamble on the likes of Lowes? There is a lot of good coaches out there, who under some guidance could do a good job.
